The premises of a former textile factory in Kirchentellinsfurt near Tübingen are the headquarters of Bergfreunde.de. The love of nature and outdoor activities unites all employees, who are private mountaineers, climbers, trekkers, hikers, trail runners and bikers. The Bergfreunde online store has now become a permanent fixture in the world of outdoor sports.
Team spirit and sporting activities are a top priority for the Bergfreunde. The 100 square meter break room did not reflect this until now. That's why we were able to transform it into an area to feel good, relax, exchange ideas and, of course, have lunch.
In the light-flooded, white room, the Bergfreunde logo is presented in multiple ways. Covered with felt and strung with climbing ropes, the XXL logo serves as an acoustic element, room divider and creative board. All the elements used can be rolled up, giving the room the required flexibility. Red as the central brand color can be found, for example, in the high tables made from storage boxes. Accents are provided by the yellow tent on the ceiling of the room, the stone dummies and real prayer flags. LED mountain lights, climbing helmets and equipment boxes bring the room to life. The existing staircase invites you to linger with custom-made, flexible tables on which you can place laptops or coffee cups.

What could be better for such a place than a base camp, just like the one on Mount Everest: snow-capped peaks, deep blue skies, colorful prayer flags, yellow tents and the common goal of reaching the summit. Welcome to the new Bergfreunde break room - the Bergfreunde Basecamp, a place to bond and recharge your batteries.
Mountain friends base camp
The eye-catcher and highlight is the 13-metre-long, illuminated picture behind the staircase, which lights up the entire room. Both this XXL picture and all the other pictures in the Basecamp show employees, i.e. "real" mountain lovers through and through.
All the elements used contribute to the transformation of the break room into a multifunctional space that can also be used for movie nights, larger discussions or private meetings in addition to the classic coffee break. A team office for summiteers!
